Mortehoe is a delightful picturesque village, nestling high above Woolacombe on the rugged North Devon coast. On the seaward side of the village lies Morte Point, with its spectacular views marking the eastern end of Woolacombe Bay. Parts of St Marys Church, just across the road from Town Farmhouse, date back to Norman times. The Cart Linhay building is the base for the Mortehoe Heritage Museum. There are two pubs, a fish and chip shop, post office and small village shop. For those without a car, there is a bus service.
